One hundred and fifty youth and religious, including eight Incarnate Word priests, set out for Rome, Italy at the beginning of the month of August in preparation for the 20th World Youth Day in Cologne, Germany. After a pilgrimage through Italy, our pilgrims participated in the opening Mass for the World Youth Day in Cologne's stadium, and greeted the Holy Father from the banks of the Rhine River as he passed by on boat. We also participated in the activities in Marienfeld, including the Vigil with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament by the Holy Father, and the culminating Mass of the 20th World Youth Day.
