On December 7th, 2006, the Vigil Mass for the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception, eleven novices received the Religious Habit.

At the same Mass celebration, six sisters renewed their vows, and six IVE novices received the Black Cassock. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass was held at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC and was presided by Fr. Gustavo Nieto, IVE Provincial Father. During the Mass when the novices receive the Religious Habit, they also receive their Religious Name. The names of the eleven new novices are the following:

Sr. Mary Dawn of Salvation (Texas)
Sr. Maria Virgo Offerens (Kansas)
Sr. Mary Our Lady of Peace (California)
Sr. Maria Templum Divinitatis (California)
Sr. Marie de Prouille (Washington State)
Sr. Mary of Ephesus (Washington State)
Sr. Mary Missionary of the Cross (Illinois)
Sr. Maria Nadiya Beznadiynych (Philadelphia)
Sr. Maria de Chiquinquira (Colombia, Bridgeport, CT)

Following the Mass, a reception was held at St. John Baptist de la Salle in Chillum, MD where approximately 300 friends and family members attended.

We thank God and the Blessed Virgin Mary for the many graces and blessings granted to our Religious Family. May the Blessed Virgin Mary bless and protect our new novices.
